How to read your result
CPS means clicks per second: your clicks divided by the test length, rounded to two decimals. For example, 42 clicks in 5 seconds is 8.40 CPS.
- The timer starts with your first click, and that click counts.
- Only clicks inside the time count. For 0.8 seconds after time runs out, clicks are ignored so you don’t press a button by accident.
- Short tests measure a burst of speed. The 60 second test also measures how long you can keep it up. Scores from different lengths are not comparable, so your record is kept for each length.
- Mouse, touch and pen all count. With a keyboard, select the click area and press Enter or Space.
Your record is saved in this browser only. A private window, another browser or clearing your browsing data starts fresh.
Copy result copies a line of text with a link. Your score is in the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to a server. Anyone who opens the link sees your score as a challenge.
Troubleshooting
Some clicks did not count
- Click inside the box. Only the main button counts, so right and middle clicks are ignored.
- On a laptop touchpad, tapping can be slower than pressing the physical button.
- If clicks still go missing, check the button with the mouse test.
One click counts as two
A worn mouse switch can bounce and register an extra click. The mouse test flags presses that come too close together.
My phone zooms or selects text
Double-tap zoom and text selection are turned off inside the box. Make sure your taps land inside it. If the page still zooms, a zoom setting in your phone’s accessibility settings may be on.
My record disappeared
Records live in this browser’s storage. Private windows forget them when closed, and clearing site data removes them. Records also don’t move between browsers or devices.
Privacy
Clicks are counted on this page, and your records are stored only in this browser. A shared result travels inside the link, not through a server. How it works
